A native of New Jersey, I was born and raised in Bergen County. I now live in Ramsey with my three sons. Joshua currently attends Ramapo College, Lance Corporal Matthew SOLDano, who has been in the Marine Corps for 1 1/2 years now will be leaving for Iraq in August 2004. (Please keep him in your thoughts),Daniel who is in his senior year at Ramsey HS, plans on going to college for marketing and will be joining me in my business at the end of 2005. One of my biggest accomplishments this year was going on the Multiple Sclerosis 100-mile bike ride from Ramsey to Port Jervis NY. This was an amazing physical challenge for me and when I finished it I was truly grateful that I had the physical capabilities to complete such a ride, those who we did this for are not so fortunate but perhaps some day we will have a cure. This year I hope to get a team together and do one of the "Be The People" rides through Europe as a fundraiser for AIDS. I have found these rides to be an enriching experience and recommend them to all. I also enjoy weight training, running, biking, kayaking and on a clear day you can find me at the local airport taking flying lessons. I guess you can say that I am not afraid to take on a challenge. A SPECIAL BUYER Three years ago I met John, a young athletic man moving to NJ. I picked him up at LaGuardia airport and brought him to my office where we discussed the different towns and what each had to offer and what his needs were. Before long we narrowed the town to Ridgewood, a town with character, warmth and 'heart'. On this trip he did not find the house he wanted but the day he left, the home I knew he would love came on the market. It was perfect. In I went to take digital photos of the house and I sent them off to John. He loved it too, and before long he was a Ridgewood Resident. That's not where the story ended because John was a member of this running club NYCITY HASHERS. I never heard of them before because you see I had never exercised, let alone run. Well John decided to invite me to go running with his group in NYC one day and that is the day that changed my life. I went, and after the 5-mile run, there were blisters on my feet and a sense of accomplishment that was like winning the Gold Medal. I decided I never wanted to be unfit again. So I look at my customers and realize that everyone that comes into my life shares with me something special. I want to share something special to those who come into my life too!

Accepting An Offer >A Tough Sale
Here is a situation that many buyers have experienced. After searching for weeks, you found the perfect home and you made a very low offer. The sellers responded with a counter-offer which was several thousand dollars lower than their asking price. You came back with a slightly higher bid, and they came down some more. After many days of back and forth, you finally reached a meeting of the minds, and you are very pleased with the results.
If you have driven a hard bargain in purchasing a house, be sensitive to the seller's feelings as the transaction proceeds. They may be suffering from the impact of a rough negotiation. Try to minimize any additional requests you might make of the sellers. As you move toward your closing date, keep in mind that the sellers may not share your elation. If you are considerate and avoid making excessive demands, you can help everyone walk away from the transaction feeling satisfied with the outcome.
